I know I’m like five years behind the techno. The last album I bought was a Roni Size remix. But I’m glad to have found these guys! Hospital Records was started by a couple DJs who realized that if you craft music, one track at a time, for it’s own sake, the results far outweigh the quick sugar highs of fad music. They produce primarily a form of techno called drum and bass. Their podcast amounts to a compilation of great dj happenings in the UK scene. It’s freakin’ addictive when programing. It’s made me a loyal listener and a future customer.
Coincidentally, in the 2007 Holiday edition, he mentions getting a hi-fi for the iPod and ripping all of his 7″ vinyl records. Ditto, but I haven’t had the time or technology until recently. Since the move, I don’t have room to set-up the stereo, so my aural pleasure has been limited to digital tracks.
